Privacy
The short version
Kida is built for families, so privacy is a baseline, not a feature. We collect the minimum we need to deliver a good activity idea, we don't sell data, and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Child profiles you create. Names you enter, ages, interests. Stored securely on our servers in the European Union so your setup follows you across devices.
- Context you tap. Where you are (home, out, car), how much time you have, and your energy level. Used in the moment to pick the right idea.
- Anonymous usage. Which ideas you saw, whether you opened one. Used to improve the corpus.
What we don't collect
- Your child's photos, voice, or location.
- Contacts, browsing history, or other apps you use.
- Anything we sell, share, or use for ad targeting. Ever.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We don't see your card details. We receive a confirmation that you're a subscriber, and your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, not to a Kida account.
Children
Kida is for parents to use with their kids. The app is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect any personal information from a child. Parents create profiles on their own device.
Your rights
You can delete individual profiles inside the app at any time, and you can delete your entire account from Settings. Account deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, profiles, saved ideas, and photos are removed from our servers.
One narrow exception, kept to protect the free trial: after deletion we retain a count of how many free ideas were used, stored under a one-way hashed code. That code cannot identify you, is not linked to any personal data, and is used for nothing else. Questions, or anything else you'd like removed: email hi@hellokida.com.
